As a young designer, I'm always curious about the process behind impactful design. I chose to create a magazine sparked by the concept of ghost lines, the sketched framework set out before designing which is not visible in the end product. GHOST LINES features up and coming creatives, asking questions about where they find inspiration and how they grow their skills.
The feature article is about logo designer Aaron Draplin, founder of Draplin Design Co. I had the pleasure of interviewing him after attending a talk he gave at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Learn his story by listening to the GHOST LINES podcast. The first issue also highlights motion graphics designer Hayden Zuzella, whose work was formative in my career path towards motion design.
The GHOST LINES mobile app is equipped with AR compatibility. I chose to incorporate this technology so readers can fully experience the work of the artists featured. By showing motion pieces and 3D sculptures, AR allows a better understanding of the artistic process.
