Le Visionnaire Heritage and Innovation Center Insight Wall
L’Oréal’s headquarters at 14 Rue Royale is steeped in history, yet the company needed a space oriented toward innovation and future thinking.
The core challenge was information overload. With decades of brand history, research, and market data at their disposal, creative teams often felt constrained rather than inspired. Le Visionnaire was conceived as a filter—an experiential environment that applies machine learning to L’Oréal’s vast archives, surfacing relevant insights and unexpected connections.
By translating data into an intuitive, exploratory experience, the space enables employees to draw targeted inspiration from the past while actively shaping strategies for the future.
The Insight Wall merges expansive visual archives with machine learning to transform how mood boards are created—surfacing current trends while seeding new ones. Thousands of images flow across a large-scale touch display, forming a living visual landscape.
With a single tap, any image becomes the starting point for exploration. Machine learning algorithms generate dynamic clusters of related content around each selection, revealing patterns, affinities, and unexpected connections. Visitors intuitively shape these discoveries into personalized mood boards through a simple drag-and-drop interface.
Completed boards can be saved instantly via a phone tap on a nearby reader, generating a personalized link for later review and continued inspiration.
